Refractory Material
A Refractory Material, often known as a refractory, is one that resists chemical, thermal, or mechanical attack and maintains strength and shape at high temperatures.
Furnaces, kilns, reactors, and incinerators all require Refractory Materials. Additionally, crucibles and moulds for casting glass and metals as well as surface-mounted flame deflector devices for rocket launch structures are made of refractories.
High temperature chemical and physical stability is required for Refractory Materials. They must have particular ranges of thermal conductivity and the coefficient of thermal expansion depending on the operating environment, be chemically inert, and/or be resistant to thermal shock.
The most crucial components utilised in the production of refractories are aluminium, silicon, and magnesium oxides. one more oxide typically
